Object description :

"Mercury Barometer "bianchi" From First Half Of The XIXth Century."
Vintage mercury barometer first half of the nineteenth century.

BIANCHI Barthélémy-Urbain (1821-1898), engineer-optician, distinguished himself repeatedly in serving the interests of science. He was thus rewarded many times as in the 1855 Universal Exhibition where he was awarded the gold medal. He was also a Knight of the Legion of Honour in 1862 and an Officer in 1872.

Our mercury barometer shows the technicality of the learned and the great quality he applied to achieve these objects. The fine white marble engraved plaque can read the weather forecast and the degree scale enables a more accurate reading of the mercury level.

On its basis, the glass flask allowed to contain mercury necessary for the proper functioning of the barometer.

Delivery worldwide.

This mercury barometer is visible in our showroom of Blaye, 19 cours Bacalan, 33390 Blaye.
