This large unsigned drawing was made in René Buthaud's studio on the occasion of the project for the columns of the Lescure stadium in Bordeaux (now the Chaban Delmas stadium) around 1937. (73 cm x 57 cm) RENÉ BUTHAUD 1886-1986 Painter and ceramicist, born in Bordeaux A student of Paul Quinsac, he attended the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Bordeaux, then that of Paris between 1909 and 1913. On his return from the war of 14/18, he became interested in ceramics, in an Art Deco style. The Musée des Arts décoratifs in Bordeaux pays tribute to René Buthaud by exhibiting a number of his works. Sold with certificate of authenticity
