Onyx Cross Decorated With Diamonds And Fine Pearls
Ancient cross made from flat onyx and presents geometric lines.
It is decorated in applique on silver with old cushion-cut diamonds, held in claws. 4 fine half pearls, also held in silver claws, adorn the interior corners of the cross. The bail is in yellow gold, it is large black enameled and decorated in the center with a line of chiselled falling motifs. The back is appliqued with a yellow gold cross delicately chiseled with acanthus leaf motifs.
Period: 19th century
