A fine pair of early 19th-century Regency period solid mahogany hall chairs of unusual design. The scallop shell-shaped backs are supported by C-scrolls on the sides. The shaped seats have protruding front corners, with the apron echoing this shape, all raised on tapering turned front legs and traditional saber legs at the rear. Lovely quality, with good color and patina. The chair seat height is 45cm.
