"Portraits of women" drawings on paper, signed and dedicated. Drawings: 20 cm x 15 cm Baron Francis de LASSUS SAINT-GENIÈS (1925-2018) is a French painter, lithographer, engraver and illustrator born in 1925 in Val André, in Brittany. He trained in painting at the Jullian Academy. Like Alain Bonnefoit, Saint-Geniès made women his favorite subject. But he transforms her, exalts her in a fantastic way, using ancient references and extraordinary animals to endow his women with dreamlike attributes, creating bird women, stone women, cat women etc... He died at Versailles in October 2018. He was the great-grandson of the composer Charles Gounod
