Angola, first half of the 20th century, large statue in very patinated hardwood with shiny reflections, beautiful and elegant representation of a female character on feet, legs half bent, torso elongated and arms untied. The details brought to the creation of this sculpture indicate the importance of the person represented. This rare statue from Angola is characteristic of the Chokwe, Lovale and neighboring peoples. Height 43.5 cm. The scale indicator in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a brand known to everyone.
