Louis XV Style Fireplace, Model Pompadour, Ca.1870
A very nice Pompadour fireplace, present with a striking red-brown Griotte marble. Made during the second half of the nineteenth century. The model is a Pompadour; 'en l'honneur de madame'. The double moulded shelf is resting above a frieze-galbé,decorated with the characteristic medaillon in the center. The canted and curved legs are pannelled and on top decorated with scrolls. The Griotte marble is a highly-valued marble and from a greater luxury. It's sold in the past at the same price as the Brèche Violet. This fireplace will be delivered with old marble floortiles to make a frontfloor. We have also in stock, original foyertiles, a perfect option if you go for a real open fire.
