Porcelain Covered Jug China Compagnie Indes Famille Verte Kangxi 18th
Large baluster-shaped covered jug in Chinese porcelain from the Compagnie des Indes, Famille Verte, with rich polychrome decoration on a white background, representing peony flowers as well as lotus and prunus in a garden landscape, foliage trellis motif on the lid and edge of the neck, rolling handle, Kangxi period (1662-1722) early 18th century. This jug is in good condition and is of remarkable quality. Note: slight enamel skipping on the decorations in places, a few chips on the button and a few chips on the edge of the lid, scratches and wear from time, see photos (see red arrows).
