Important cast iron jar made by Alain Girel (Chambéry 1945-Chasselas 2001). Alain Girel is a recognized ceramist: from 1962, until his death, he had numerous personal exhibitions. His creations were acquired, among others, by Hermès. His ceramics were also ordered by the Elysée (Mitterrand, Chirac) to offer to foreign heads of state. The jar rests on a cast iron foot in the shape of a vine. This is a model test. Numerous decorations and colored friezes adorn the upper part. Height: 173 cm, Top diameter: 40 cm
