Bronze Hermes
Grand Tour of Italy, cast bronze figure of a seated Hermes. A dark patinated bronze on an antico green marble base of the classic winged footed figure. Overall, pretty good condition with some nibbles at the base. The height is 22 cm and the base is 25 cm wide. Hermes is the Greek god of messengers, travelers and merchants. Inspired by an original Roman edition discovered at the Villa of Papiri in Herculaneum. Unsigned.
