Rare vase signed Ernest D'Hossche joined the Boch Frères Kéramis earthenware factory at a very young age. He collaborated closely with the great ceramist Raymond Chevalier and Léon Empein, he then became an artistic advisor there and created the “Studio d’Art” workshop. He creates numerous models of tableware, dishes, vases, sculptures in ceramic and stoneware, particularly for Expo 58, with an innovative and even avant-garde look. A professor at the Provincial Institute of Arts and Crafts in Charleroi, he serves as coordinator of practical work in Decorative Arts. He trained numerous artisan painters and ceramists.
