Saint Clément
The Saint-Clément ceramic factory was created in 1758 by Mr. Chambrette, then owner of the Lunéville Faïencerie, located 12 km away. This new establishment was then dedicated to high-end and prestige pieces. The Faïencerie de Saint-Clément, among others, was named official supplier of the Trianon under Marie-Antoinette. If the establishment was created for luxury earthenware, it nevertheless produced a wide diversity of products, from slip to more ordinary household pottery, including imitations of multi-colored decorations from Strasbourg, and even the Art Deco style. Although the paintings are no longer done by hand, the establishment is still in operation.
