"19th Century Louis XVI Style Leather Top Writing Desk"
A lovely 19th century French leather-topped writing desk in warm-coloured walnut and veneer. Hand-crafted in the Louis XVI style, this charming desk has two lockable drawers complete with shield-shaped escutcheons (one key supplied). The rectangular top of the desk has been inset with a wonderfully tactile tan leather writing surface, decorated with blind and gold tooling, and it is raised on four elegant tapering legs terminating in brass sabots. Simple but sophisticated, this is a highly functional little desk, which is in great antique condition, and which would be a beautiful addition to a home office
