Very important and exceptional carved walnut panel from the Louis XIV period, representing the annunciation, in a heavily molded frame decorated with foliage at the corners. The powerful scene, depicting the moment when the angel Gabriel appears to Mary on a cloud, is sculpted in strong relief. Rare piece due to its quality of execution and its impressive dimensions.
