Large knocker with its wrought iron plate and compostella scallop shell. The hammer takes the form of a loop with bulging ends around a percussion mass. The rotation elements present a robust design as can be found on many pieces from the same period. The wrought iron plate, laminated and cut to size, rises and unfolds amply in an order of perfect symmetry. Placed on the front door of the property to “knock it like a ram”, the knocker evokes a refinement and luxury that the owner claims. Good condition with signs of wear over time, mounted on a wooden presentation board. Dimensions of the plate: 35 cm, width 23 cm. Dimensions of the knocker: Height 21 cm, width 17 cm. Weight 3.4 kg.
