Very beautiful and large table in rosewood marquetry. It opens at the waist with two drawers, one of which forms a writing desk and a side drawer. It rests on curved feet.
Rich decoration of chiseled bronzes such as ram's head falls, laurel garlands, cartridge, acanthus leaves...
Top of pink breccia marble, bordered by an openwork gallery.
Bears a stamp of PAUL SORMANI, 10, rue Charlot, PARIS.
This piece of furniture is directly inspired by a table made by JF Oeben kept at the Wallace collection, London.
French work, first part of the 20th Century.
