The two ages of the Bigouden country: Group in polychrome enameled earthenware Manufacture Henriot Quimper, circa 1932 Signed on the base “R. Micheau”, on the reverse “Henriot Quimper 145”. Very good condition, note a tiny chip on the enamel under a sleeve and on the base (see photos). This group, one of the first made for Henriot by Robert Micheau in Brest in 1931, is an edition prior to his marriage, in December 1932. It is therefore one of the first prints of this rare model. It bears the number 145 on the reverse. Bibliography: - Philippe Théallet and Mikaël Micheau-Vernez, “Micheau-Vernez, l'oeuvre de faïence”, Groix éditions, 2019. Similar model reproduced p. 50 and 51.
