Portrait of Madame de Genlis, Felicity du Crest de Saint Aubin (1746-1830), wife of Charles-Alexis Brulart de Sillery, Marquise de Sillery known under the title of Countess de Genlis, niece of Madame de Montesson second wife of the Duke of Orleans Famous educator and governess of Louis-Philippe d'Orleans (the King) and his sister Princess Adelaide (also mother of 2 daughters whose paternity is given to the Duke of Chartes,son of Duke of Orléans ) this rare portrait is also present at the bottom of the Smithsonian Museum (Washington DC) original frame circa 1820, unopened. Period glass and original gilding. family annotation on the reverse.
