Rare Victorian 92nd Gordon Highlanders (1837-1881) brass belt plaque. Brass plaque with a Victorian crown on a partial thistle crown, a banner inscribed "Highlanders" with the Roman numerals "XCII" in the center. The lower part of the star shows a Sphinx placed on a tablet. The four weapons on the saltire bear the names of 12 of the regiment's battle honors. Good condition (the plate is not glued, visible in the photos). Total dimensions 15 x 12 cm, plate dimensions 9.2 x 7 cm.
