Rare marrow spoon or marrow taffy forming a salt shovel in the shape of a fire shovel in silver, hallmarked on the stem, by the master goldsmith Pierre Nicolas Sommé, Paris 1772-1773. Pierre Nicolas Sommé was received as a master goldsmith in Paris on September 3, 1768. Weight 18g - length 13.5 cm Condition, very good. Very rare object and even more so with clearly identifiable hallmarks.
