Note: slight wear and tear, see photos. * Alfred Barye known as Barye Fils (1839-1882): Although son and student of the famous Antoine-Louis Barye, this artist remains little known. Also an animal artist, he worked in his father's workshop and produced a large number of racing horses, his best successes, but also groups of birds, genre figures, most of them in bronze. His works remain, overall, of good quality and are notable for their great attention to detail. Alfred Barye began at the Salon of 1864 with a statuette then exhibited irregularly until 1882.
