Ceremonial pertuisane of the Swiss guard, a lay character, dressed in a special uniform and wearing a cocked hat, he was armed with a halberd and a sword, and was in charge of guarding a church. He also preceded the clergy in processions. Beautiful bronze model from the 19th century. This object is even more rare as it is no longer used today. Good condition, with traces of use. Length 49 cm, width 14.5 cm, weight 1.340 kg.
