“Kraak” Bowl from the Wanli Era (1573 – 1620) in blue and
white porcelain with silver handle

Diameter: 21 cm
Height: 5.5 cm
Height with handle: 17 cm

Beautiful bowl of circa 1590-1610, made during the reign of the Wanli Emperor during the Ming dynasty, also known as “Kraak” porcelain.
Beautifully painted with a decoration of  a landscape with a frog. Rich blue. Good condition, a hairline and some fritting to the edge. A silver (or silver plate) handle was added in the 19th century in Holland.
