Small Crossbow Secretaire, Louis XV Period
Rare and small crossbow Secretaire (drop front desk), in rosewood veneer inlaid with butterfly wings in patterns with braces, in amaranth frames, the front uprights rounded with feigned grooves and the sides curved, standing on a curved plinth base supported by four small arched legs. It opens with a flap revealing niches and four small drawers with curved facades and, in its lower part, two doors revealing a shelf (maintenance restorations and parts redone in the funds).
Veined brown-pink marble top (probably not original).
Has an unidentified stamp (twice).
Louis XV period.
