Solid Silver And Cut Crystal Drageoir, Louis XVIII Period, Paris 1819-1838, Boulanger Goldsmith
It is framed by two handles with scrolls of abundance richly decorated with rings, ribbons, plates, flowers, foliage and bouquets.
The ensemble rests on a circular pedestal adorned at the top with a delicate laurel wreath, a pearled ring and, at the bottom, a repeat of the laurel leaf frieze on a quadrangular base adorned with a fine frieze of florets framed by fretted bands. It has four small feet formed by delicately carved busts of children, the lower part formed by rolled leaves.

F.A. BOULANGER
He was the successor of the silversmith Jean-Nicolas BOULANGER (1783-1819). His hallmark was registered in 1819.
The Louvre has a dish by BOULANGER, the Palais Fesch in Ajaccio has two episcopal candlesticks and a silver-gilt glove dish, and the MET in New York has 6 liqueur goblets.
