The box is in silver, with partitions, covered with parchment. The hinged lid is engraved with floral motifs and a central cartouche featuring a house and tree. The underside is also engraved with a symmetrical arabesque motif.
The interior is compartmentalized to accommodate its components:
- Telescopic handle, two scalpels, two-pronged fork, silver pied du Roy, lead holder, rasp, wick.
