17th Century Portrait Painting
Oil on canvas representing a gentleman wearing a large wig, dressed in fabric in a very beautiful carved and gilded oak frame from the 17th century. The very realistic face can be compared to the work of Rigaud or Largillière, the canvas is original and not re-lined, a small restoration was carried out at the neck, probably due to a stab at the time of the French revolution.
