Rare Commode à Ressaut Epoque Transition Louis XV- Louis XVI
Rare rosewood veneered chest of drawers inlaid on the front with an interior scene depicting two couples in a drawing room under a canopy. On each side a decoration of musical instruments. The whole is surrounded by wide amaranth grecque fillets.
The sides of the chest of drawers are inlaid with statues on pedestals in a wooded park.
It opens to two large drawers without rails.
Rounded uprights. Cambered legs decorated with gilded bronzes.
Top in Salernes breche marble with moulded grooves.
Stamped Jean-Georges. SCHLICHTIG. Master in 1765.
