Burma, mid-20th century, superb carved wooden puppet head representing a male character with an open mouth. Very beautiful work of popular art. Traces of polychromy. Presented mounted on a custom-made base (delivered with the head) at the request of the previous owner. Good condition except for normal wear. Removable tongue system present and operated by means of the small visible string which brings the tongue out of the puppet's mouth).
Height 18.5 cm (28 cm with the base made at the request of the previous owner). The scale indicator in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a brand known to everyone.
