Pair of hand forged gold plated mid-century chairs by Banci Florence 1970s

The chairs are delicate in structure but very heavy.
One arm chord is curved the other goes straight into the backrest.
The frame is ground flat to create an almost angular structure that gives the whole chair sculptural effect.
In some places the iron is a little visible and then the surface looks almost craquelure. The front legs run straight down the back are slightly flared. The legs are connected with a crossed axis. The backrest is 10cm wide at the widest point and the material thins to 3mm.
The arch of the backrest goes beyond the seat.
Due to this, you sit very comfortably even if the seat is crescent-shaped.
The seat cushion has been reupholstered and covered with very soft and smooth leather in brown-red.
The chairs have an expressive charisma despite their graceful design.
Weight per chair 11kg
