Object description :

"Raphael Arnal (1906-1963), Still Life In Newspaper, Oil On Cardboard Signed, Circa 50, Framed"
Still life in newspaper by Raphel Arnal, (1906-19663), Provençal expressionist artist, born in Languedoc, who went to the Beaux-Arts of Montpellier. He exhibited in Montpellier, Avignon, Salon de Provence, Paris then for 14 years in Marseille, in the Pintade district, often represented in his work, and finally in Vence and Antibes during the last years of his life. He is a great friend of Max Jacob with whom he exchanges an important correspondence which will subsequently be published by the magazine Massilia. A complex personality of modern art, his painting is imbued with strong expression and intense colors, as here in this seaside view. Framed painting. Shipping possible everywhere
