On a cylindrical base with bulging, in veined black marble.
Good condition.
Sculptor from East Prussia (born in 1872 in Niederzehren, now Czarne Dolne in Poland - died in 1961 in Solingen), Rescke studied at the Berlin Academy, was a professor at the Solingen technical school and notably worked for the Berlin porcelain factory. He is a member of the "Black House", an artists' colony in Solingen founded by the painter Erwin Bowien.
