Oil on mahogany panel representing soldiers in deep discussion signed lower right Potémont. Born February 10, 1828 in Paris. Died October 14, 1883 in Paris. Painted with animated landscapes. He was a student of Léon Coigniet and Félix Brissot de Warville. From 1846 to 1882 he exhibited at the Paris Salon and obtained a second class medal. He was a friend of Daubigny.
