"E. Dassier : “view Taken In Biaudos 1866”"
E. Dassier (19th century): “View taken at Biaudos, 1866”, drawing in pencil and white chalk on bi-color paper 14.5 x 22.8 cm, signed and dated lower right, located in pen on the back, missing on the edges (disassembled from a marie-louise without precaution) which will be hidden by another marie-louise. In addition to the artistic qualities of this beautiful drawing representing a wooded landscape with the Pyrenees in the background, it is also an extremely rare document on the Southern Landes of which there are very few representations this old... Biaudos, a small Landes village near the right bank of the Adour, north of Saint-Barthélemy is also known for its castle which hosted the film “Hôtel desAmériques” by Téchiné with Catherine Deneuve and Patrick Dewaere.
