Workshop of Marcel Chaufriasse (1926-1990), 1950s, in Limoges, Very elegant hard porcelain plaque decorated using the so-called “paste on paste” technique initiated by the Sèvres factory in the mid-19th century and then used with equal success by Minton in England. It consists of decorating, with white slip in successive layers, a colored piece cooked beforehand. After cooking, the effect is similar to that of a cameo with the addition of transparency effects. This plaque whose very refined decoration features a winged woman sitting on a tree branch, in the antique style, in a plant environment, in white on a blue background. Presented in a period frame (30.5 x 26.5 cm), signed at the bottom right of the plaque by the artist "M. Chaufriasse"
