Sumptuous and monumental castle library in walnut and ebony. It is entirely sculpted and represents the Goddess Athenaeum and the God Dyonisos. Athenaeum or Athena is the goddess of war, wisdom, strategy and inventions but also protector of heroes, patron saint of craftsmen as well as arts and letters. The representative symbols of Athenaeus are the owl, the terrestrial globe and the attributes carved on the doors. Dionysus is the God of wine, seed and the fertility of the vineyard, but also of joy and theater. Dionysos is represented in the form of 4 pilasters in the lower part of the library but also by bunches of grapes as well as attributes carved on the doors. Prodigious work of French manufacture dating from the 19th century of exceptional quality. This library is complete, all original and in good condition.Dimensions
