Lyon Earthenware Drageoir Representing Dawn. 18th C.

Polylobed bezel in Lyon earthenware with polychrome decoration of a mythological scene representing the dawn standing on a leafy terrace, holding a blowgun in her left hand and an arrow in her right hand. On the left in the foreground, a two-branched tree filled with fruit. On the wing, two bouquets at the top and bottom and two stylized cornucopias on the left and right, interspersed with foliage. At the edge, blue braid framed by an ocher yellow line and a manganese line.
Mid-18th century.
