Long Circa 750 Box, Silver Mounted, Rosemary Blue, Saxony Enamels

Pretty box, perhaps table snuffbox shaped as a long chest, enamelled on beautiful blue, that of the wildflower, original framing with thumb rest and hinge is silver, unmarked. Shape of chest and enamel technique are typical of Fromery workshops, former French Huguenots who made career in Berlin, recognizable by technique of silver (or gold) plated inlays in the enamels.
