Louis XVI period Polish bed. A great classic of castle furniture and large residences in the 18th century, this elegant Polish bed in lacquered wood with its baluster uprights and its crown canopy enhanced with pine cones is a work from the Louis XVI period. The wood covered with an old pale gray paint goes wonderfully with the “Indian” fabrics with a champagne background enhanced with large flowers and foliage in warm colors, very fashionable since the 17th century, this cotton fabric spread over the 4 curtains, the valance and the exterior of the bedside tables date from the 20th century, it remains in a good state of conservation despite some discoloration, there are no tears, it is accompanied by pretty, good quality trimmings in brighter colors which enhance well overall, the inside of the bedside tables, the top of the bed canopy and the bed cover are in velvet, with a very soft touch it has a very pale beige color close to sandstone. The wooden slatted base is new, it receives a wool mattress in perfect condition, this set rests on a removable wooden base which is from the period. This bed is completely removable.
