"Japan, End Of The 19th Century, Bronze Incense Burner On A Tripod Base Topped With A Kirin."
Japan, late 19th century, very pretty bronze incense burner on tripod base. The lid is surmounted by an elongated kirin, the left leg resting on a sphere. The open mouth allows the scents to escape. The base of the handles is decorated with openwork chimera heads. Very good quality of the carving and casting highlighting the fine details.Height 18 cm. The scale indicator in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a brand known to everyone. Good condition except for slight wear and a small deformation on the rear mid-body without any impact on aesthetics. Prettier piece in reality than in photographs. The patina is notably darker.
