"18th Century Fan, Circa 1790"
Beautiful fan from the end of the 18th century. The leaf is made of paper, it is painted with a scene with characters in a park, probably including Venus and Adonis as well as putti with bunches of grapes, cups etc... Superb frame in pierced and carved ivory from Chinese imports for Europe. The fan measures 12,20 inches long closed and approximately 18,89 inches in diameter. England, circa 1790.
