Superb Transition Louis XV, Louis XVI style chest of drawers in marquetry. This chest of drawers is from the Napoleon III period, late 19th century. It is worked in rosewood, rosewood and light wood in marquetry. Projection chest of drawers resting on four arched legs typical of the Louis XV style while the chest is straighter like the Louis XVI style. The floral marquetry is dense and fine. It is decorated with pretty chiseled bronzes and topped with magnificent marble. Note a small accident on the marble visible in the photo.
