Imari Umbrella Stand
Umbrella stand in Imari, Japanese porcelain, late 19th century. Rich and important enameled decoration in the colors of nuanced Iron Red, Cobalt Blue on a white background and comprising a stylized decoration of flowers and foliage: branches of cherry trees in bloom, peonies, chrysanthemums and various foliage with a few butterflies. On geometric cartridges enclosing a peony, wide decorative bands in the upper part and the lower part repeat the same stylized flowers. Assembly of the brass base at the beginning of the 20th century, with its old patina.
