Important desk in walnut and marquetry, Louis XV style and 19th century period. On set, our desk is trimmed in elegant caramel leather. On this "beautiful" piece of cabinetmaking, the foundry-carver added significant trimmings in chiseled and gilded bronze (in addition to its aesthetic qualities, the bronze then has the function of protecting delicate parts such as the lock plates, edges and feet). Taking the shape of the flat desk that appeared around 1700 (Regence style), our desk has four elegant curved and scrolled rocaille legs in the Louis XV style. The three drawers of the belt are aligned. At the rear, we will note the presence of false drawers imitating those of the front belt. The imposing size of this flat desk gives it a majestic appearance. It is sold as is. Possibility of a quality restoration by our cabinetmaker on estimate (at a good price) in our workshop. This is a “beautiful” wide model; powerful but graceful.
