Of exceptional provenance (Béatrice de Choiseul Stainville 1730/1794) Sister of the Minister of Louis was the second wife. The Sister of Choiseul was an example of her courage and her great influence on her Brother, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Louis the quality with which they had been bound, in particular the red moroccos which resisted the incisive action of time, the care with which they had been executed attracted Bibliophiles and sales records were broken because they had in the high sales results which justified the eagerness of Bibliophiles. Here is a rare copy struck with its large and beautiful Coat of Arms on the boards with frames of triple gilded fillets on a beautiful bright red morocco in two volumes in 12, smooth spine decorated with beautiful gilded titles and volume number in olive morocco, marbled endpapers with golden edges . Very complete in two volumes the History of the Catholic Kings Ferdinand and Isabella, printed in Paris, at Le Clerc, Libraire, Quai des Augustins, at the Toison d'Or in 1766. Nice repetitive vignette on the title of Claude Fessard in 1765. A rare collector's item on the market whose price is justified (value 5 to 6000 euros there is a work by Corneille in three volumes, from the same provenance in olive morocco and smaller ones at 9500 euros on the net currently....
