Pair of molded and carved mahogany armchairs from the Directoire period. Tapered front legs with gadrooned rings, rear sabre-shaped ones. The belt with curved front crossbar, the armrest supports in baluster with gadrooned base. The reversed backrest with an openwork grid pattern, the band inlaid with a number “FA” and topped with a double baluster grip hand. Small usual restorations. Model attributed to Georges Jacob.
