"Bench, Genoese Empire Stool In Gilded And Carved Wood - Early 19th Century."
Bench, Genoese Empire stool in gilded and carved wood - Early 19th century. The seat covered with a beautiful fabric rests on two curvilinear feet ending with shell motifs, decorated with a leaf motif carving. The two feet are connected to each other by a richly sculpted central crosspiece having two allegorical masks as terminals. The state of conservation is good, the wooden structure is healthy, small signs of aging on the gilding testify to the authenticity of the piece. The fabric on the side is threadbare, but personally it's a detail that fascinates me. Period: Empire (early 19th century). Measurements: cm. 51 x 44 - height cm. 44
