LouisXV style curtain chest of drawers, opening with a sliding curtain door revealing 5 stacked drawers. the entire piece of furniture is inlaid on all sides in violet wood and rosewood veneer with chevron and cube decorations. Curved base decorated with chiseled and gilded bronze roller shoes. Mesh oak frame. Stamped twice with fire under the body: The Cristal Paris staircase. The crystal staircase house was founded in 1804 by Marie DESARNAUD, installed No. 162 and 163 at the Palais Royal in Paris. Lahoche and Boin took over around 1847, then around 1857 it was Lahoche and Pannier and finally Pannier Frères from 1890 to 1923. This renowned house manufactured very high quality furniture, often inspired by 18th century creations.
