Appears in the catalog of the work of Delacroix by Alfred Robaut, published in 1885, under number 1116.


Frame in gilded wood from the 19th century.

Dimensions: H 19 x W 31 cm.

This is a study for the lower part of the monumental fresco of the ceiling of the Apollo gallery at the Louvre Museum, not retained for the final version.
