Ax Songye, from the Democratic Republic of Congo. In wood covered with snakeskin and hammered wrought iron, decorated with geometric lines and four faces. All removably mounted on a modern base. Dating from the end of the 19th or beginning of the 20th century. In excellent condition. Height mounted on base and leaning 51cm. Ax only 44cm high and 29 cm wide. Quick and neat delivery.
